Yukio Yang (b. 2002, Xinjiang, China) is a London-based artist and graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London. Working across sculpture, photography, and writing, her practice explores how migration, landscape, and labour shape perception. Rooted in the border landscapes and migratory histories of Xinjiang, she transforms repetitive manual labour and found materials into sculptural forms informed by the spatial logic of genre cinema. Through industrial and geological materials, she creates spaces between monument, myth, fiction, and ruin, reflecting on how landscapes are shaped by migration, geological processes, and power.
