Vincent Dupont-Blackshaw Dupont-Blackshaw - Interval No. 02

£900.00

Archival pigment prints on Hahnemühle Photo Rag
44 x 93 cm
2026

Intervals is an ongoing photographic practice in which photographs made in different places and at different moments are brought together into multipart assemblages. Rather than treating each photograph as a finished or autonomous image, I use it as material for composition. Scale, spacing, colour and visual rhythm create relationships between otherwise unrelated fragments. Landscapes, figures, architectural details and everyday observations begin to connect across geography and time, allowing new narratives to emerge through proximity. The work explores how photographs shift once removed from their original context, and parallels the associative nature of memory: moments do not remain isolated but overlap, resurface and acquire meaning through other images. Each assemblage establishes a structure while leaving the relationship between its elements unresolved, allowing the viewer to move between fragments and construct their own connections.
