Pencil on paper
74 x 62 cm
2025
Russell Herron is an artist who makes really cool pictures of faces. First, he cuts and tears pieces of old cardboard — like the boxes your Amazon orders come in — and makes them look like a face. Then he draws that face super carefully with a pencil on paper, making it look really real!
The faces don’t belong to any real person, kind of like how you might draw a made-up friend. He’s been making his cardboard face pictures for a really long time.
Lots of people love his pictures so much that they buy them and hang them on their walls at home. He even gets to show his drawings in big, fancy art galleries where lots of people come to look at them.
So basically, Russell takes old bits of cardboard that most people would throw away and turns them into something really special and beautiful!
