I make art about the moment women begin to disappear. Using reflections in windows and mirrors, I create images where women over 50 appear blurred, fragmented or half-seen — the way society too often treats us. My work is fuelled by anger, defiance and a refusal to shrink. I’m speaking to women who are fed up with being overlooked in public spaces, dismissed in conversations, or valued only for their family roles. As a realist portrait painter I want to play with images to see how little of a face or person needs to be seen for it to still qualify as a portrait
