Acrylic, leather binding threads, jute, stretcher frame
60 x 40 cm
2025
My work explores how the meaning of drawing and painting continues to change, especially in relation to new technologies and shifting symbols. Making is central to my practice. I work through detailed, repetitive mark-making using graphite, mixed media, recycled materials, and craft-based techniques like textiles and fibres. These slow, layered processes reflect the passage of time and the ways human expression evolves.
Inspired by the idea of the palimpsest, I embrace imperfection in whatever material I use. I am interested in bringing together different material processes and seeing what happens when they collide. The contrast between the softness and structure of textiles and the organic, weathered textures of natural materials is what excites me the most. My work is all about colour, texture, process and experimentation.
