I am best known for the « Astronaut », the central nomadic character, in an epic travelogue that began life in Mid to Late Nineties. It’s a kind of pilgrimage through inner space as much as any Outer One, in Sculpture, Photographic and painted form, which brings to mind, Kubrick, Bowie and Floyd with shades of Manga, sharing that similar kind of Apocalyptic edge. There’s a timeless feel about it all, something one part futuristic another part archaeological relic. With an anthropological simplicity in physical form, devoid of any real detail, its identity is always a mystery, yet strangely familiar. Childlike in scale and demeanour there is something both vulnerable yet indomitable at the same time, facing, come what may the enormity of it all, stepping from the void, a light in the dark, something even after all those years, which still makes me smile.
