My work explores the tension between abstraction and depiction, drawing inspiration from macro, scientific, and landscape photography. I investigate landscape as both a physical and psychological space, using abstract mark-making, mapping, and references to medical and neurological diagrams to construct layered images. Through different mediums and combined materials I aim to create a direct sensory experience that connects landscape, emotion, and perception.
